Kassandra: lively and convenient
The first peninsula is closest to Thessaloniki Airport. Sani Resort, Kallithea, Pefkochori and Hanioti offer everything from luxury family resorts to buzzing beach bars, 60–80 minutes from the airport.
Sithonia: wild and beautiful
Sithonia has pine-fringed coves, crystal water and a slower pace. Nikiti, Neos Marmaras and Porto Carras are 85–110 minutes away.
Athos: spiritual and remote
Ouranoupoli is the last village before the monastic state of Mount Athos. Boat cruises along the coast let everyone see the monasteries from the sea.
Getting there
Public transport to Halkidiki is limited, so most visitors book a private transfer from SKG. A minivan is ideal for families with lots of luggage.
